Day 1

Arrival at Coeur de Megève

Whether you arrive by car from one of the closest airports (Geneva 70km, Lyon 180km) or from the Sallanches-Megève train station, the resort is one of the best served in the world and access is easy, after a beautiful mountain road that plunges you directly into the atmosphere of your vacation. Once in Megève, head to the center of the resort for check-in at 3pm in your resort: the Coeur de Megève, nestled in the pretty pedestrian streets, a renowned boutique-hotel with an incomparable location. It's quite simple: you can't get more central than this! Once inside, guests are drawn in by the contemporary and warm atmosphere of the place. Wood, warm fabrics, touches of bright colors... this mountain cocoon is definitely the right one for your merry band of friends.

It's a weekend of reunion with friends that you came to spend, so it's impossible to miss your first aperitif all together. And because the journey now makes you want to enjoy your cocoon and discover all that the Heart of Megeve has to offer, you decide to spend the evening there.

Everything starts at La Terrasse du Cœur. Comfortably installed in the soft benches, warmed by the braziers, share a typical and friendly moment on the heated terrace, a real "place to be" at any time of the day! A good drink and delicious plates to share are waiting for you...

What happens next is at the Coeur, the hotel's restaurant, a great classic in Megève. Here, a simple and generous cuisine with an emphasis on local and seasonal products, makes the happiness of friends laughing around good comforting dishes from the Savoyard soil. They remember their common memories and are about to create so many new ones, during these 72 magical hours...

You are ready for a good night's sleep in your mountain home sweet home...

Day 2

Make way for Big Ski

Skiing in Megève means 5 massifs that touch the Mont-Blanc:

  • Rochebrune connected to Côte 2000
  • Mont d'Arbois linked to Princesse-Saint Gervais
  • Jaillet-Combloux-La Giettaz

A total of 102 ski lifts and 400km of slopes!

For this day of skiing with friends, why not discover Rochebrune in the morning and Mont d'Arbois in the afternoon? From your hotel Le Cœur de Megève, cross the pedestrian streets and the central square of the village to appreciate the special atmosphere, then take the Chamois lift. Once on the slopes, take the Rochebrune cable car and its new red cabins, a nod to the past of this lift which was the first cable car for skiers in France in 1933!

On the Rochebrune massif, facing North and East, the snow is obviously of incomparable quality, ideal for the first return to the slopes of the season! Everywhere you ski, the views of the mountain cirque are stunningly beautiful. On the slopes, don't miss the red Alpette, for mogul lovers! This iconic run has been half groomed for decades and half left in its natural state: it becomes a very physical mogul field, but a source of cascading laughter; the blue Variante Mouillettes, which is very little frequented, wild, and winds through the forest; the demanding Super Megève (black), or the gentle Rosière (green). For high quality skiing, the most motivated can go to Côte 2000, where snow is guaranteed all winter. It is also the training ground of the sports clubs of the region, if you want to appreciate the style of the future champions! For your gourmet break, stop for lunch at the high altitude restaurant Le Forestier, where forest rangers used to come to warm up. The view of the mountain pastures is matched only by the simple and authentic menu concocted by three-star chef Emmanuel Renaut. He has a tip for you: let yourself be tempted by the "cheese crust of our mountains"...

Once you have eaten your meal, head back to the slopes to enjoy the skiing at Mont d'Arbois, which is sunny all afternoon until the famous "golden hour". To do so, you just have to take the Rocharbois lift and there you are. Do you feel like a steep slope for a little challenge with friends? The Voltigeurs black run is waiting for you! When it's time to go back, treat yourself to La belle d'Arbois, a red run that dominates the valley and is rarely used, so much so that even at the end of the day you can still enjoy the tracks of the groomers from the previous night.  You thought your journey was over? There is still one more trail to go: the red Calvaire, which will bring you back to the center of the resort in no time. It's a red one, so keep a bit of it under your foot to make sure you get back!

Spa and party!

Back from the slopes and the great outdoors, there's nothing like a moment of relaxation to regain your strength and unwind. For this, head to the intimate and relaxing spa Tata Harper du Coeur in Megève. The leading brand in the green cosmetics movement is focused on plants, its products are made without synthetic components, they are 100% non-toxic and not tested on animals. To start this wellness bubble, take advantage of the many facilities offered: sensory shower, Finnish wooden sauna, nail bar, herbal tea bar ... then head to one of the two treatment rooms for a moment just for you (the duo option is also available if you are tempted). Small suggestion: the Snow Scrub, a biodegradable scrub followed by a massage with nourishing oil...a must.

Then it's time to get out of this warm cocoon, to discover all the night pleasures that the village of Megève has to offer.

In the heart of the resort, let yourself be tempted by this winter's novelty, the "Cosa Papa" bowling alley, the perfect place for an evening with friends. After proving yourself (or not!) on one of the three lanes offered by the establishment, go to the trattoria which has selected for you the best antipasti, pasta, risotto and other 100% Neapolitan pizzas.

And the evening is still far from over! To continue in style, it's to La Ferme Saint-Amour that you must go. One of the most fashionable places in the heart of the resort where chic and festive are perfectly combined. In this warm and magnificently renovated historic farmhouse, live music and DJ sets set the nights of the Megevannes on fire.

Will you be reasonable enough to save your strength for the next day?

Day 3

A new morning in the fresh air...

This morning, you have decided to split into two groups: there are those who have not yet had their fill of skiing and want to go back to the slopes, and those who prefer to play the contemplative game by discovering the snowshoe trails of the resort. Whatever the case, you all head for the Jaillet massif, which is so sunny and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Mont-Blanc. A real daydream.

The Jaillet massif seen from the village

Here skiers go on "walk" itineraries: the gentle slopes offer nice differences in altitude, the exploration is done through the fir trees... here everything is calm, the air is pure and the surrounding summits are magnificent.

Hikers enjoy the same magical environment and take even more time to admire the surroundings and savor the moment, on splendid itineraries such as the Christomet (about 2 hours). And if it's cross-country skiing that attracts you, don't panic, Megève has everything planned: on the Mont d'Arbois side, a beautiful trail leaves from Le Bettex to reach Saint-Gervais on the mountainside; and a second site awaits you at La Livraz, between the Mont d'Arbois and Côte 2000.

If you have all stayed on the Jaillet massif, then the reunion for lunch is at the Auberge de Bonjournal. An authentic alpine chalet made of old wood, with a large panoramic terrace, where you are welcomed so warmly to enjoy a family and Savoyard cuisine. It's time to opt for a fondue for example! Did you know that? It is in Megève that the first fondue was put on the menu. While its existence is known since at least the 19th century, it is only in 1946 that the dish "fondue" was listed for the first time on the menu of a restaurant ... Megève! For dessert, don't hesitate to opt for the blueberry pie picked by the owner of the place.

A shopping trip and it's time to leave

You have accumulated enough freshness to return to your "everyday" life but before that, a little shopping trip is necessary in the streets of Megeve.

To begin, it is impossible not to pass through the doors of the Cooperative Fruitiere in Val d'Arly Savoie Mont Blanc. Here, you will find cheeses made with milk from the farms of Megève and the surrounding area (80 producers in total), transformed into Reblochon, Beaufort, Tomme or Raclette de Savoie. To complete your market, other dairy sweets have been specially selected such as yoghurts and faisselles. Complete your basket with meats and cured meats from local producers, wines and beers from Savoie, and you can go home happy!

à Did you enjoy your stay in Megeve with friends so much that you are afraid you will miss it too much once this enchanted interlude is over? To extend the atmosphere of Megeve into your home, Mizensir has created the "Megeve" line of scented candles and home fragrances by Alberto Morillas, who was inspired by the emotions he feels during his stays in his chalet in Megeve.

And because this stay in Megève was certainly not the last one, you need to dress up for your next trips on the slopes! To do this, head to the emblematic AAllard boutique, a sumptuous establishment located on Place de l'Eglise. Take the time to admire the decorated windows, as beautiful and illuminated as the superb fir tree installed just in front. This is where the horse-drawn carriages wait for walkers... A true reference in mountain fashion, the brand was the first to create the first ski spindle in 1930. Today, it is even available in a ready-to-wear version, in modern materials. Nearby and therefore also very central, you will enjoy strolling between famous brands such as Arpin or Montcler.

It is with cheeks rosy from the fresh air and a mind full of new friendly memories that you take the way back home. This stopover was as short as intense and as soon as you entered the resort, you are already planning your next visit to this haven of peace, skiing and outings...
